Who I am

I am the first born daughter of a large family with a fondness helping others. Eldest daughters have their own unique set of lessons to learn throughout life, but I have never been one to shy away from a challenge.

I am a firm believer in being a lifelong learner. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Saginaw Valley State University, and completed my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Oakland University. Though my days on a university campus may be done, I consider my education far from over. Between sessions I am constantly striving to learn new modalities and interventions that may be helpful to my clients.

In my spare time I can be found baking, embroidering, daydreaming, gardening, or cuddling with my pets. I love traveling with my partner, experiencing live music, and immersing myself in the arts.

What I Believe

I believe that every person is deserving of a life where they can live in their truth with authenticity and dignity, regardless of physical or mental ability. I believe that therapy is not only for those that are financially privileged, but for all individuals. As a result, I strive to offer services in an accessible fashion and at an accessible rate.

I believe that attending therapy is a radical act that stands up to the powers that be and recognizes our unique individual needs in a system designed to keep us isolated and afraid. Many of us are afraid to pause and recognize ourselves because there may be pain. You do not have to be afraid, and you do not have to be alone. I am here if you would like some company on the journey.
